Event Description

At our next Prostate Cancer Support Session on the 20th August in Ross-On-Wye at 10am , we will welcome all those who attended our last session and anyone new who would like to attend, including their partners.

Why come ? Some 52,000 men a year get diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. There are over 120 support groups already running in the country. This is your chance as a Herefordshire Prostate Cancer patient, with a partner, to come along and chat and share in small groups. Discuss your feelings, fears, and general support needs. If in addition, any of our readers who are not Prostate Cancer patients but know about family members e.g brothers, fathers, uncles, grandparents whom they feel should understand the risks, the symptoms, and the need to get health checked, perhaps asking their GP for a PSA blood test, please share this information, and get them to book. We always welcome attendance by potential contributors with new case stories to share, and others who want to become area leaders and coordinators. We will rotate locations across Hereford, Leominster, Haye, Ross, Ledbury, and Bromyard as numbers increase.

When relevant and possible, attendees from NHS Wye Valley support teams, including GP’s and/or Hospital clinicians, may be invited to assist and present.

Your Chair Peter McCann and Committee members John Mills, Stuart Jones, Andy Norman and Diane McCann will help to :-

  • Quickly summarise our Herefordshire mission around Support, Awareness, and any emerging essential Campaigns
  • Help the attendees to break up into small intimate groups
  • Join groups, chair, stimulate and start open sharing and friendly dialogues – everyone benefits by sharing
  • Conclude by summarising feedback and possible actions

Places are limited so please quickly drop an email to request a place to enquiries@herefordshirepcsg.co.uk or send a text to 07768382334 including your name email mobile and address, or book via Ticket Tailor on our web site.

All personal information needed to assist us in planning, research, and fast and efficient administration for this vitally needed service, will be held securely under GDPR guidelines. Your personal data will never be shared without your express permission.
